In order to provide the best experience possible for our customers, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions about our custom door plates.

SHIPPING INFORMATION & RETURN POLICIES

What is your return / exchange policy on kick plates for doors?

Because we make our products custom just for you, we can not accept returns or exchanges for any of our custom sized or engraved door plates.

Please measure twice and order once to be sure you get the correct fit.

Please ensure you are ordering the correct mounting option for your specific needs and door type. 

Returns for stock items will be subject to a restocking fee of 30% and return shipping cost will be the responsibility of the customer. 

All returns must be received within thirty (30) days of the original delivery date. 

Items must be returned in their original condition, in the original packaging, with a copy of the order confirmation.

We do not offer exchanges, instead we please ask that you place a new order. 

What is your shipping policy?

All individual orders within the lower 48 states (US) include free shipping from UPS. Shipping insurance is included on your order, so if there is a complication or problem with shipping we will get it taken care of promptly. Please include your e-mail address for tracking information. 

No PO Boxes, please.

How long do orders take to ship?

You can expect to receive your custom kick plate 2-4 days after production is completed. Production is typically 3 weeks or less for traditional Kick Plates. Some custommonogrammed, and bulk order options may require up to 4-6 weeks for manufacturing to be completed, depending on current supply chain issues. We aim to surprise you with an early delivery.

What if my kick plate is damaged in shipping?

Should your product be damaged during shipping, take a photo of the damaged package and item and email it to sales@DeckTheDoorDecor.com with reference to your order number. We will send you a new replacement kick plate as soon as possible.

 

ORDERING YOUR KICK PLATE

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as PayPal.

How do I know what size kick plate to order?

Generally speaking, your kick plate should be the width of your door, minus 2 inches. For front doors our 8 inch x 34 inch size is often a good fit, and for all other doors generally our 6 inch x 30 inch plates fit. However, it you should still measure to ensure the best fit as door sizes have changed over time. You can find detailed instructions here on measuring for your door protection plate.

Do you offer custom sizing on kick plates for doors?

Of course! Our two standard sizes are designed to fit most doors. However, for custom or older doors, custom sizing may be required. We can make any sized kick plate for a small additional machining cost. Just send us an email at sales@DeckTheDoorDecor.com with your specific requirements if you do not see the size you need offered on our site.

Are these products patented, copyright protected and trademark registered?

Yes, all of our kick plates for doors products are patent pending, registered copyrights, and the Deck the Door Decor trademark is registered.
