How Long Do Orders Take to Ship?
Most orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days. Because many of our products are custom-made to order, certain personalized, monogrammed, or bulk orders may require additional production time.
While most traditional kick plate orders are delivered within 2 weeks or less, some custom or high-volume orders may take up to 3 weeks to complete before shipment.
We take pride in producing high-quality, American-made products and always strive to ship orders as quickly as possible. In many cases, customers receive their orders sooner than expected.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you have any questions before ordering, our team is happy to help ensure you select the correct size, mounting option, and product configuration for your needs.
Custom Products
Because custom-sized and engraved door plates are made specifically to your order, they are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or an error was made during production.
Please carefully verify all measurements, engraving details, specifications, and mounting selections before placing your order.
Stock Products
Non-custom, stock items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a return or exchange:
- The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original condition.
- All original packaging, hardware, instructions, and accessories must be included.
- A copy of the order confirmation or order number must accompany the return.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error, a defective product, or shipping damage.
Return Authorization Required
To ensure prompt processing, customers must contact us and obtain return authorization before returning any merchandise. Returns received without prior authorization may be delayed, refused, or returned to the sender.
Return Shipping
Customers may request a prepaid return shipping label for eligible returns. The cost of the return label will be deducted from the refund amount.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error, a defective product, or shipping damage.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
Returned items must be received in resalable condition. Products that have been installed, mounted, modified, damaged, or returned with missing components may not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Products purchased for temporary use, trial fitting, project staging, photography, evaluation purposes, or any other short-term use are not eligible for return once installed or used.
We reserve the right to refuse returns or exchanges that do not meet these requirements.
Exchanges
Eligible stock items may be exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on exchanged items unless the exchange is required due to our error or a defective product.
Custom-sized and engraved products are not eligible for exchange.
Bulk Orders
Bulk, wholesale, and quantity-discounted orders are not eligible for return or exchange unless the items arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
For your peace of mind, all shipments are insured against loss or damage during transit.
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us within 10 days of delivery.
To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include:
- Photos of the product
- Photos of the product packaging
- A photo of the shipping label
- A brief description of the issue
Failure to provide supporting photos may delay the processing of your claim.
Once reviewed, we will work with you to provide a replacement, exchange, refund, or other appropriate resolution.

Delivery estimates are provided at checkout and are based on the carrier's published transit times. While we work hard to meet or exceed these estimates, delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather, carrier delays, holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email, along with tracking information and shipment updates, at the email address associated with your order once, your package has been shipped.

How do I know what size kick plate to order?
How do I know what size kick plate to order?
Generally speaking, your kick plate should be the width of your door, minus 2 inches. For front doors our 8 inch x 34 inch size is often a good fit, and for all other doors generally our 6 inch x 30 inch plates fit. However, it you should still measure to ensure the best fit as door sizes have changed over time. You can find detailed instructions here on measuring for your door protection plate.

Of course! Our two standard sizes are designed to fit most doors. However, for custom or older doors, custom sizing may be required. We can make any sized kick plate for a small additional machining cost. Yes, all of our kick plates for doors products are patent pending, registered copyrights, and the Deck the Door Decor trademark is registered.

Are adhesive mount plates removable?
Are adhesive mount plates removable?
Yes, our 3M adhesive plates are removable. The chemical bond characteristics of the adhesive can result in varied removal difficulty, depending on the surface finish of your door. Some latex finishes can be damaged in removal of the 3M adhesive, please use caution.
Will magnetic mount plates work on all doors?

No, magnetic mount plates will only bond to steel doors.
Not all metal doors are steel, please check your door with a refrigerator magnet before purchasing this option.
Do screw mount plates come with matching hardware?

Yes, all screw mount options come with color matching #6 x ¾” screws.
